Why this exists
Capable people get cut for reasons nobody ever tells them
Almost nobody is rejected for being incapable of the job. They are rejected for a technical answer that was nearly right, a story that didn’t hold together, an application sent through a portal where nobody was expecting it, or a process they were never told the shape of.
None of that is a talent problem. It is an information problem and a repetition problem, and both are fixable — but not in the last three weeks before applications close, and not alone, which is when and how most candidates try.
The Break-In Blueprint is the whole process, done with you, on the real recruiting calendar, with someone in your corner the entire way.
What you actually get
Four problems stand between you and an offer. We solve all four.
Not a course you are left to finish on your own. Every item below exists because it removes a specific reason candidates get cut.
01
The problem
You can’t answer the questions well enough yet — and you won’t know that until you’re already in the room.
Become the candidate they say yes to
Interviews are not a personality test. They are a small, knowable set of questions that have been asked thousands of times, scored against a rubric most candidates never see. We teach you the rubric, then drill you against it until your answers hold under pressure.
- Technical lessons — accounting, valuation, DCF, LBO, M&A and the market questions that sit around them. Taught to the depth an interviewer probes, not the depth a textbook stops at.
- Behavioural mastery — the “why banking”, “why us”, “walk me through a time when” family — the answers that quietly decide most first rounds.
- Your story, built with you — we take the background you actually have and turn it into a single coherent narrative that survives “walk me through your CV” without a wobble.
- The Dojo — our drilling engine. Spaced repetition on the questions you keep getting wrong, so the weak spots close instead of quietly persisting.
- The previously-asked question database — real questions from real interviews, searchable by firm, round and topic. You prepare for what has genuinely been asked, not what someone guessed might be.
- MIFS certification — a structured, assessed credential that gives you something concrete to put on the page and a defined standard to work towards.
02
The problem
Nobody who can hire you knows your name — and the roles are gone before they’re ever advertised.
Get in front of the people who decide
The application portal is the slowest, most crowded door into this industry, and for most candidates it is the only one they use. The work here is unglamorous and it is the single biggest difference between candidates who get interviews and candidates who get automated rejections.
- Network mastery — who to contact, what to say, when to follow up, and how to run a coffee chat so it ends in a referral rather than a dead-end “good luck”.
- The CRM — every contact, conversation and follow-up in one place, telling you who is owed a reply today. The reason most networking dies is that it is untracked — this is the fix.
- Job finder and tracker — roles surfaced as they open, and every application you’ve made tracked through to outcome so nothing is dropped mid-process.
- Beating the online stage — the video interviews, the timed numerical and logic tests, and the game-based assessments that quietly cut most applicants before a human ever reads a word.
- Landing the stepping-stone roles — smaller firms, boutiques and adjacent finance roles — deliberately targeted, because the fastest route to a CV that clears the screen is real experience on it.
03
The problem
Your CV is read for a handful of seconds by someone looking for a reason to stop reading.
Look the part before you say a word
Every document is rebuilt with you — not returned as tracked changes you don’t understand, but reworked line by line so you can defend every word of it in the room.
- CV and résumé — formatted to the convention the screener expects, with your experience written the way banking reads experience.
- LinkedIn — rewritten to match, because it is checked far more often than candidates assume — usually right before someone decides whether to reply to you.
- Your whole digital presence — audited the way a recruiter would audit it, so nothing quietly costs you a conversation you never knew you were in for.
04
The problem
You don’t know what to do this week, and there is nobody to ask when it goes wrong.
Never do any of it alone
This is the part that cannot be productised, and it is the reason the rest of it works. Self-study fails not because the material is unavailable, but because nobody is there at the moment you get stuck, get rejected, or get an interview in four days.
- Unlimited 1:1 coaching — not a set number of sessions. As much time with your coach as the work actually requires, for as long as you are recruiting.
- A personalised plan of action — built around your year, your target roles and the real recruiting calendar — so you always know the next thing to do, and when it has to be done by.
- Every resource we have — the full library, the templates, the guides and every update we release while you are with us. Nothing is held back for a higher tier, because there isn’t one.
Why it works
Everything here is available somewhere. That has never been the problem.
You stop guessing
The questions are known. The rubric is known. The calendar is known. You spend your time on the things that decide the outcome instead of the things that feel productive.
You move now, not eventually
Your plan is dated and worked backwards from when applications actually open in your market. The most expensive mistake in recruiting is starting a cycle late.
The hard part is done with you
Networking and applications are the work candidates avoid most, so that is the work we do alongside you rather than assign to you.
Our side of the deal
Do the work. Get the offer.
If you don’t get an offer, you’re not charged.
We can’t promise a firm will interview or hire you — that decision is always theirs, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. What we can do is take the risk off you: our success fee is conditional on you getting there.
It is conditional on your side too. You do the coaching, you do the drilling, you make the contacts and you send the applications. We will not carry someone who won’t do the work — and we will tell you honestly on the call if we don’t think we can help you.
Full conditions are set out in the enrolment agreement and our Refund Policy. Read them before you commit to anything.
This is for you if
- You want investment banking specifically, not finance in general.
- You are willing to be told what is actually wrong with your answers.
- You will put in the hours between sessions — this is coached, not done for you.
- You are recruiting now, or in the cycle coming up.
It isn’t for you if
- You want a guaranteed job handed to you. Nobody can honestly sell that.
- You want to buy materials and be left alone — the coaching is the product.
- You aren’t prepared to network. It is the part that works, and it is not optional.
- You want someone to sit the interview for you.
Start with a conversation, not a checkout
We don’t sell the programme from a page. Book a free strategy session, and we’ll go through where you actually are, what your cycle looks like, and whether we can genuinely help. If we can’t, we’ll say so and you’ll still leave with the plan we mapped out.

IBBlueprint does not guarantee a job, an interview or an offer — all hiring and interview decisions are made by the firms themselves. Outcomes depend on your background, your timing and the work you put in, and breaking into investment banking takes sustained effort over months. Where a placement-linked success fee is referenced, its exact terms are set out in the enrolment agreement and our Refund Policy.
